My client is looking for experianced Sales / Business Development Leads for 2 roles based in North Leeds.

The role covers the following objectives:

  • Develop strategic relationships with new partners which open up new market opportunities and access to longer term and significant value contracts. Win new clients who require digital training programmes
  • Secure additional and ongoing revenues from existing clients
  • Increase market penetration through developing and executing go to market strategies for new and existing business
  • Present proposals and concepts to meet client's specifications and business requirements that deliver to time, quality and budget requirements

The successful candidate will join my client on a permanent contract and earn a competitive salary. There is scope for this role to be based remotely, with travel to Ilkley offices when required.

Key Duties:

Your key duties will include, but are not limited to:

Business Development

  • Lead competitive presentations and pitches across all products and services - presenting and networking at industry events
  • Generate and win strategic new business opportunities (self-source, develop opportunities and follow up inbound leads) - including social media activity
  • Provide a consultancy driven service to recommend solutions to meet organisational / market learning challenges - understanding client's requirements and learning objectives
  • Manage pipeline - judging likelihood of conversion through to authoring proposals
  • Develop and draft bid submissions in response to tenders - in line with sales strategy

Account Management

  • Independently manage relationships by having conversations with customers/partners on their full strategy, spotting future opportunities and building a portfolio of contacts
  • Solve problems independently, implementing the right solution for both customer and business recognising commercial risk and implement the right solution independently
  • Implement success and impact measure KPIs and takes responsibility for progress
  • Seek customer feedback on product and service and log this with appropriate internal teams

Learning Technology Consultancy

  • Have a detailed understanding of the services, products and packages delivered to customers and confidently translate technical information relating to eLearning, systems and content creation theory to customers and prospects in a language they understand
  • Investigate internal and external blockers and problems and presents solutions based on our products and services
  • Develop good commercial awareness understanding the impact of decisions and actions - and a good knowledge of eLearning methodologies and technologies
  • Understand existing and upcoming products as well as competitor landscape within the sector

Key Skills/Experience:

Essential:

  • Experience in a consultative B2B sales and commercial environment
  • Experience securing order values of between £20K - £250K+
  • Defence experience (senior role only)
  • Partnership Development experience (defence organisations, management consultancies, delivery partners, niche consultancies, experts in areas of expertise, etc.)
  • Experience working alongside formal bids and tender teams / procurement
  • UK Driving Licence and access to a car
