S & T Supply Chain Engineer (ILS) Keynsham 6 months contract £45 P/H LTD

Overall Department Direction

A defence organisation is looking to add a Support and Test Equipment Lead to work within the Marine sector's Integrated Logistic Support team. The S&TE Lead is required to deliver ILS tasks IAW Def Stan 00-600 & the Defence Logistic Framework (DLF). This will provide through life support activities to designated projects, throughout the CADMID lifecycle.

Main Purpose of Role

This role is to provide ILS subject matter expertise, guidance and recommendations for all assigned projects and opportunities. The primary focus of the role will be the Support and Test Equipment discipline including production and maintenance of associated ILS documentation and deliverables. You will also be responsible for maintaining effective collaborative cross-organisational working both within the S&TE discipline and with other engineering disciplines.

We will look for candidates with experience in Support and Test Equipment who have dealt with the day-to-day activities essential to ensuring the necessary S&TE is available to the right people at the right place and at the right time.

Identification and Management of risks for S&TE and associated disciplines will be an important part of the role, along with providing guidance and mentoring for less experienced ILS team members.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Competences

  • Proven understanding of requirements set out in defence logistics framework (DFL), & defence standards 00-600
  • Proven understanding or Supportability / ILS support (integrated logistic support)
  • Understanding of Support & Test Equiptment process
  • Proven experience of reporting ILS milestones

Additional

Due to the sensitive nature of the product all applicants must have worked within the Defence / Military industry within the last 12 months or be capable of obtaining Security Clearance (SC level minimum).
