Our client a leading Oil & Gas operator are seeking a Reliability Engineer for a Permanent opportunity.
Position Overview
Deliver reliability improvement Plan that adds value by focusing on long term reliability and hence increasing or protecting production and/or enhancing safety/environmental performance. This will include: the development, investigation and collation of reliability data, maintenance performance measures, building reports and presenting the findings and insights, also responsible for supporting/leading tactical projects as well as activity to improve the quality of the underlying reliability information.
Accountabilities
· Facilitator for the implementation of a culture of reliability
· Perform Reliability process and sub-processes audit every 6 months
· Reliability input for any engineering modification that is not like for like
· Drive improvement in long term reliability of plant and equipment through reliability data ownership, systems management reviews and reliability performance management (KPIs)
· Communication of technical recommendations to improve long term reliability
· Responsible for supporting initiatives needed to improve the quality of the underlying reliability data in order to optimise maintenance activity and maintenance opex
Key Duties
· Being a champion of the reliability process for UK assets and a facilitator of the RCFA process, tools and techniques for problem solving
· Promoting the value of reliability to the organisation through regular offshore/site visits and forums with asset personnel
· Liaise with asset focal points to ensure pertinent reliability best practices in reliability are achieved and lessons learned cascaded where required
· Perform periodic Reliability analysis for Bad Actor for all the disciplines and feedback results to Maintenance, Subsea and Integrity Engineering to improve/refine or update the Discipline Strategies.
· Participate in engineering or modification process giving input from Reliability during design
· Run regular 'triggers' analysis for reliability reviews - Losses, Cost, Bad Actors, Chronic Failures, Equipment Health
· Take a lead in reliability action where reliability trigger threshold is reached (e.g. lead RCFA for losses>50k bbls)
· Provide asset focal point with reliability data for those emerging failure trends events that do not reach a trigger for their action/lead (e.g. losses<50k bbls)
· Perform comprehensive and accurate review of reliability trigger events utilising all data sources (e.g. Production Loss Management System, Equipment Health Tool)
· Prepare and execute, Root Cause Failure Analysis, Failure Mode Effect and Criticality Analysis, technical notes and recommendations based on these reviews
· Review from the Reliability perspective each discipline 5 years opex Plan
· Responsible to prepare and ensure use of Pre commissioning Reliability data templates to start-up equipment after major maintenance or overhauls
· Ensuring recommendations from reviews and studies are communicated and tracked formally (e.g. updates to equipment strategy, capital or operational spend (mods), changes to operating practice, new technologies, etc.)
· Liaise with discipline focal points to ensure the consistency and accuracy of the technical data
· Responsible to consolidate and Upload all Standard RCFA into the Teams Reliability work environment
· Responsible for communication of the Root Causes across all the organisation after performing a standard RCFA report
· Responsible for delivering each Reliability Action Improvement Plan after the RCFA
· Ensuring follow ups to the implemented recommendations from trigger events are carried out to confirm effectiveness of solutions
· Develop the culture of reliability programme for the 'tagged'assets in line with company standards
· Liaise with multi discipline departments focal points to ensure effective implementation of the culture of reliability programme on their asset
· Monitor reliability metrics and goals for the 'tagged'assets ensuring that production unplanned losses are reduced and PE is improved

Education Attainment & Accreditation
· Engineering professional or equivalent with substantial experience in the Reliability field
