You will be on contract for Morson as an ambassador for GKN by being the first point of contact for greeting visitors and guests. The position is ad hoc so you will be required at short notice to cover sickness and holiday within the reception team and you will handle the flow of people through reception and ensure that all security protocols and administration are met. Flexibility and reliability are key to this role.
The receptionist reports to the Team Lead on Reception and is responsible for providing office and clerical services. Failure to provide these services in an efficient and effective manner will result in disruption to the provision of services.
* Ensure that all booking in forms from GKN host are completed
* Check the denied persons database (Contacting GKN if denied)
* Check photographic identification upon arrival
* Contact GKN host for meet and greet
* Ensure individuals watch induction videos
* Ensure questionnaires are completed and issue Health and Safety cards
* Issue all approved passes
* Manage the GKN Axiom database (GKN controlled doors)
* Set up new accounts to individuals for access to the GKN required doors
* Run reports required to support security enquiries
* Manage incoming calls and forward to relevant departments/individuals
* Sort and manage the incoming and outgoing mail for delivery to internal buildings and incoming and outgoing courier services (DHL)
* General administrative requirements
* Produce main reception statistics (Visitor throughput, mailing and courier service
* Manage the Franklin machine (Postage machine) - training will be provided
* Create reports using internal software on numbers of visitors into reception and other reports as required
