Commercial Manager Training Solutions
Serve as a focal point of contact for customers regarding contractual matters by establishing good customer relationship and communications.
Proactive participation in the business winning Bid Teams.
Development of appropriate commercial strategies/business models for new opportunities.
Support the development and implementation of the negotiation strategy, including payment profiles and associated terms to meet the cash flow requirements of the business
Provision of guidance to all stakeholders on compliance to terms and conditions, identifying appropriate supply chain flow down and gap analysis. Advise on all matters relating to the terms and conditions of contract, identify contractual risks and liabilities.
Identification of potential liabilities, risks, issues and disputes, arising with customers, suppliers, partners and third parties, and produce innovative mitigation plans.
Interpret, when required, for the benefit of the broader project team, the contracted requirement (including but not limited to terms and conditions and scope of work).
Ensuring that proposals to customers are priced, developed and approved in accordance with company procedures.
Review terms and conditions of enquiries, Requests for Proposals and Invitations to Tender; advising commercial risks and costs of bids.
Adhere to functional procedures, CHORUS and in particular the WinBid process.
Maintain contractual records, documentation of key correspondence, status and issue reports etc.
The management, in conjunction with Finance, of cash receipts to the business.
Preparation, review, negotiation and response to contractual agreements including NDA, TAA, teaming Agreements etc.
Ensure a robust Contract Baseline is established and maintained, including contractual changes.
Monitor and maintain current commercial obligations.
Accept sales Orders and any subsequent contract variations in accordance with company policy.
Understand the business and programmes to ensure the appropriate risk limitation and negotiation strategies are applied.
Maintain a commercial database with relevant contractual information.

A hard-working team player who displays both confidence in his/her abilities allied to a willingness to listen and seek guidance from his colleagues.
Good working knowledge of defence contracting (UK Government/export) and/or civil/commercial aerospace contracting.
Preparation of commercial responses to contract terms and conditions.
Drafting and negotiation of contracts and agreements.
Commercial responsibility within consortia, partnering or team structures between legal entities.
Awareness of commercial issues such as the significance of a change in customer requirements.
Team player with the ability to influence decisions.
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to identify change and support change process to improve effectiveness of the business and/or commercial function.
A minimum of 3 years experience in a defence/aerospace commercial environment
Experience of various contracting and programme types (e.g. Study, development, R&D, manufacturing and support)
Experience in using Microsoft Office applications
Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance.
