We have an excellent Quantity Surveyor opportunity based here in Cumbria - LLWR
This role is inside IR35
The Commercial and Contract Management Delivery team are responsible for the commercial management of several frameworks and contracts within LLW Repository Ltd
The role will be primarily the deliverance of a major contract, managing monthly applications, change requests, day to day updating and maintaining portfolio of contract administration spreadsheets to ensure the supplier is performing to contract requirements.
The place of work would usually be the LLWR Repository Site, or potentially at Pelham House at times (currently home working)
The Consultant will be expected to engage with all departments at LLWR, depending on the goods, services or works
Maintain an awareness of supplier capability and financial stability in order to support the needs of the business
Have a knowledge base of contract terms and conditions (NEC and CCS) to ensure contract management can be delivered effectively
Work collaboratively with suppliers to implement best practice and innovation
Ensure all post contract documentation is documented and recorded
Manage change in accordance with the contract
Estimate work packages in advance of formal issue through the contract
Actively manage contract risk
Actively manage supplier key performance indicators
Day to day updating and maintaining portfolio of contract administration spreadsheets
Management of the payment application and invoicing process for the assigned contracts
Review and approval of contractor quotations
Provide monthly or quarterly reporting data as required

Groundworks
QUALIFICATIONS
MCIPS or RICS Chartered Surveyor
Proven ability to develop and communicate commercial strategy, as well as overseeing its implementation
Defining contract strategies and structures using NEC3 and CCS suite of contracts
Working knowledge of the Public Contract Regulations
Excellent collaborative communication skills (written and oral)
Proactive and self motivated
Ability to deal with people across a wide range of management and technical expertise.
