Morson International are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Manager on behalf of our aerospace client based in Bournemouth.

Job Summary

The purpose of this role is to ensure that the companies production process deliver parts and services that meet customer expectations and requirements, in compliance with legal, regulatory and Magellan requirements. The QM must ensure that all of his direct reports and all others who have an impact on product and service quality are aligned and capable of meeting the above criteria. The QM is responsible for developing the necessary skillsets with the company to support this The QM must be capable of communicating at all levels inside and external to the company and ensuring that proper records and relevant reports including performance metrics ore produced and communicated to all stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintenance of accreditation to AS9100 and MADCAP and obtaining extensions to approvals when required.
Ensure acquisition of customer approvals and that they are maintained.
Customer liaison including dealing with customer complaint and defect investigations.
Ensuring that direct reports con carry out process improvement and root cause analysis. This will
involve development of staff and ensuring that documentation is maintained.
Process improvement and root cause analysis.
Ensure that material review boards are run effectively to ensure permanent resolution to internal non-conformance and customer reported issues.
Process capability studies/variation reduction.
Advanced product quality planning.
Implementation and development of the quality management system.
Management coaching, mentoring of the quality department team.
Effective performance reporting to internal management and to customers.
Ensuring that quality team meets its performance objectives and contributing the achievement of divisional performance objectives.
