An opportunity has arisen for a Quality Leader with Supplier Improvements experience to join the tram with our prestigious client BAE
Responsible for managing the day to day Quality activities. Ensure that agreed targets are met through the ability to provide leadership in all aspects of quality related activities. Responsible for a multi-disciplined team ensuring that both customer and business requirements are met on time and to budget.
To understand APQP processes is essential or AS9145, FAIR / AS 9000 series
Understand and deploy quality process improvement & problem solving techniques to ensure that continuous improvement is maintained such as Lean Six Sigma (certification is desirable).
Be familiar with FMEA (Design/ Process), Value Stream Mapping/ Process improvement techniques, 8D, Gage R&R and ability to coach others is essential
Manage and take responsibility for all quality related activities (QA, QC, Inspection) without daily supervision and have the ability to deputise for the Quality Manager when the need arises
Excellent presentation, MS Excel, MS VIsio & project management techniques is desirable
Mentor and lead a small group of Quality professionals as and when required
Provide leadership of quality resource and process as a people manager
As a People Manager demonstrate a thorough knowledge and application of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People (SQCDP) through effective communications
Develop, maintain and manage key relationships in the business both internally and externally
Lead a multi-disciplined team to ensure that both customer and business requirements are met
Educated to HND level or have the ability to demonstrate suitable experience
Engineering Degree - desirable
Proven ability to re-engineer and improve processes Behavioural Competencies & Key Technical Skills
Recognising the restricted nature of the work there is a requirement for the candidate to be eligible to obtain Security Clearance for this role.
