Our client is seeking a Quality Engineer for a Permanent opportunity based in Motherwell.

Operational Activities

Gathering statistical data and preparing quality reports for distribution within the Group.
Ensure Corrective and Preventative Actions are implemented for external and internal issues, working with all areas within the business to achieve this goal.
Assisting in the improvement of Quality systems and SOP's when required.
Develop comprehensive Quality Control Plans for all products, ensure their dissemination to the workforce and continually update.
Liaising with the process, supply chain and R&D departments as required on Quality and testing process issues related to existing and new products and processes.
Communicating and escalating urgent Quality concerns to the Quality Manager and other members of the team.

Qualifications/ Knowledge & Experience


Chemistry degree (or equivalent) and background is essential.
Ability to produce high quality statistical analysis
Excellent written and verbal communication, including high quality report writing
ISO9001 internal auditing
Continuous Improvement skills - LEAN would be ideal.
A commitment to improving quality.

Specific Knowledge, Experience & Skills

Ability to manage, organise and motivate individuals
A combination of analytical, communication and reasoning skills to accurately and efficiently run a lab is a must.
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, be IT literate and be able to plan, create and implement relevant policies and procedures
Candidate must be able to make decisions and solve problems, have great interpersonal skills, and be organised and methodical
Be involved continuous programs / events as and when required.
