Morson is delighted to be working in partnership with a leading aerospace organisation to recruit a Quality Engineer for an initial 12 month contract. There is a rate of up to £27 Per Hour PAYE on offer for the successful candidate. Please find the role description below:

Job Responsibility

  • Ensure compliance to Customers & regulatory requirements.

  • Creation, maintenance and continuous improvement of Program Quality Plans

  • Leading the completion of internal First Article Activity packs and verifying the integrity of external First Article Activity packs per AS9102.

  • Leading both internal/external product Quality audits.

  • Assist with daily Material Review Board (MRB) meetings.

  •  Ensure that all documentation conforms to industry / customer quality standards & supports customer new product needs.

  • Act upon Internal NRFT and External NRFT issues with timely containment and robust sustainable corrective actions through root cause corrective action investigations with use of problem solving tools utilizing company Zero Defect Manufacturing methodologies

  •  Drive continual improvement; internal – external, quality, cost, innovation, delivery and management.

  •  Devise inspection, testing and evaluation methods.

  •  Support engineering change management of drawings, components, materials and processes.

  • Support customer conference calls if necessary.

  • Assist in the creation of Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA). Be able to support occasional travel if necessary.

Qualifications

  • Previous Quality role held.

  • Aerospace/Automotive industry experience within a quality management system approved to AS9100/ISO9001.

  • FAIR/PPAP, flow charts, writing quality procedures/documents.

  • Solid understanding of key problem solving techniques (Fishbone, 5Y, 8D, RCCA etc.)

  • Auditing experience.

  • Familiarity with Quality management systems approved to ISO9001/AS9100/AS9110, Airworthiness regulations EASA 145 & EASA 21-G, the FAA to FAR145 would be advantageous.
