Job Purpose

To conduct product and process inspection to obtain and record proof of compliance to drawing and process requirements. Identify and record non-compliance to these requirements, lead, implement contain and create corrective actions to ensure that all supplied and delivered parts conform to their specification. To implement the quality policy and objectives within Safran, with particular focus on the reduction of the cost of non-quality and the reduction of internal and external concessions through the application of the appropriate quality tools.

Provide excellent quality products and superior service to your stakeholders.

To develop a common culture of quality basics throughout the company and ensure that observation of quality basics is consistent throughout every level of the organisation.

Auditing of hand tooling and calibration status of measurement equipment In your areas of responsibility.

Conduct inspection operations as and when requested.

Validate production permits and pre release documents.

Product buy-off and release process including spares release on Despatch deck and Goods inwards inspection when required.

Development and implementation of quality sampling schemes, recording and analysis of data.

Reporting of defects via QNs, taking ownership of the defect to its resolution.

Carry out BBG0036 and process supplier/ customer returns when required

Produce strip reports on Externally supplied parts coming back from our customers

Audit schedule adherence

Batch card completion / closure

Non-conformance reports from customers and suppliers.

QN / SAP database accuracy

Batch card completion in accordance with procedures

Approval against BQG0211 (Approval of Inspectors) procedure.


Maximise profit, minimise cost

Identify areas and propose solutions, wherever possible, to reduce costs and maximise profit.

Actively participate in QRQC, CONQ, scrap reduction and other improvement activities.

Quarantine and Litige Management

Attendance monitoring from QRQC and CONQ.


Deliver to commitments

Deliver all tasks required by your stakeholders to a high standard on time and in full.

Goods inwards / receiving inspection operations (for production and for supplier DVI)

Provide recommendations for process corrective actions based on results of sampling schemes.

Provide support to QA and SQA in development of Product Quality Plans.

Knowledge, Experience, Training and Quals


Essential /Preferable

Time served apprenticeship with shop floor Aerospace experience


Must have a good understanding of engineering drawings, configuration control and specification system.


Ability to process C of Cs


Knowledge of relevant shop operations, special processes and NDT
