Role Description:
Preparation of qualification documentation for NC and SC2 classified equipment.
Preparation of software qualification documentation.
Preparation of qualification architectures and identification files.
Understanding of ONR requirements for EQ and challenge these internally and externally.
Understanding of qualification process and requirements.
Develop strong working relationships with the internal and external stakeholders and work well within a collaborative team environment
Ability to deputise for the qualification manager and be the intelligent customer in relation to EQ if required
Support reviewing of functional, design and testing documentation from Suppliers/Contractors to ensure compliance to good documentation practices.
Support reviewing Qualification or Test Plans issued by the Suppliers/Contractors for completeness and correctness
Understand hazards associated with equipment / environment and ensure nuclear safety and security are considered throughout EQ activities
Understand safety functional requirements and have an appreciation of how equipment will function correctly and reliably on demand, within the parameters of the site-specific safety case.

Experience Requirements:

Advanced degree in a relevant science or engineering subject (or equivalent).
Experience within the Nuclear Industry especially in the design field.
Familiarity with RCC-E design code.
Experience of creating/compiling documentation to create auditable trails/LTQRs (or similar nuclear industry activities).
Knowledge of design process and design activities related to Nuclear Industry.
Awareness of Health & Safety legislation including CDM and Nuclear Site License requirements.
Previous demonstrable experience in complex design contracts.
Understanding of quality requirements.
Decision making ability for resolution of issues.
Good communication skills and ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholder
