Our client, a successful manufacturer of complex heat exchangers, has an immediate requirement for a Quality, Health & Safety Manager, for their modern facility in the West Midlands. This is a new role, so the successful candidate will need to be adaptable, self-motivated and resilient.

Main duties will include:

Health & Safety:

To ensure that the site is operated in a safe manner for all concerned.
To ensure the safe implementation of all Procedures.
Managing the maintenance and servicing of all equipment that is LOLER compliant.
Managing the maintenance and servicing of all equipment that is PUWER compliant.
Risk assessments and COSHH assessments and maintenance of records.
Control and disposal of COSHH substances and effluents.
Implementation of a Fire Safety regime including Firefighting and Evacuation measures.
Identify and Training of First Aiders.
Training and Toolbox talks to ensure compliance with the Company's Health & Safety goals.
Arranging for third party training resource where required.
Instigation and monitoring of Housekeeping regimes throughout the site.

Quality Assurance:

Achieve ISO 9001 accreditation.
Ensuring that the quality management system is implemented and maintained.
Creating and approving procedures for ISO 9001 system
Maintaining all required and necessary training and records.
Maintaining all required and necessary calibration and records.
Controlling and recording external and internal Non-conforming products.
Checking all manufacturing is being produced to the quality management system.
Producing procedures, work instructions and build process documentation.
Monitoring production of all units that require PED and insurance control management.
Producing full product data dossiers compliant with the PED.
Liaising with customers when required.
Compilation of KPI's to demonstrate Company performance & identification of improvements.
Management of Welder coding and associated documentation.
Audit and maintain supplier records and grading's.

In addition to a competitive salary (c£50k PA), there will also be access to an annual bonus (measured against individual and business parameters).
