We are currently recruiting for QA Leads for an Outage period based at Dungeness B Power Station in Kent.

Your role will consist of, but will not be restricted to the following:
Job Description
Reporting to the Outage Manager and responsible to the Chief Assurance Engineer (OC) for technical matters relating to the quality of the work being undertaken.
Produce an input into the Outages Managers daily log, along with the nightshift log.
Record any problems encountered with the quality systems or quality of the work being undertaken and notify the Shift Lead Engineer at the earliest opportunity.
Review quality requirements of the site activities with the Outage Manager, Shift Leads, and the Chief Assurance Engineer (OC) to ensure that the requirements are understood and can be met.
Authorise through review of work pack documentation the inspection and testing by the Site Engineer where applicable.
Ensure compliance by our Clients staff and sub-contractors with the requirements of the Contract, the Project Execution Plan, Client Project Safety Plan, the HSEW Plan and associated documentation.
Attend site meetings, as appropriate, to review quality requirements, problems and programme.
Maintain Site Quality Files, including identification and compilation of those quality records required to be included in the final Lifetime Records documentation, for inclusion in both the client's and Project archives.
Ensure that prior to inclusion in the final Lifetime Records, all documentation, including, Maintenance Instructions, Construction Plans, etc.operations are signed-off and are fully completed.
Identify inspection workload and plan resources and equipment availability enabling the work to be verified in a timely manner to meet the programme requirements, reporting to both the Outage Manager and the Chief Assurance Engineer any potential problems.
Allocate work to a team of Inspectors under direct control of the Site Quality Engineer, taking into account both qualifications and individual experience and abilities.
Oversee and review the administration of the site Document Control system, thus ensuring that the site works are only being carried out to the latest issue of all documentation.
Reviewing and approving certification in accordance with the requirements of purchase order where material is delivered direct to site from subcontractors/suppliers.
Ensure that any non-conforming items are correctly identified and labelled and that the appropriate procedures for disposition are applied.
Ensure compliance with Quality documentation, ensuring hold points and witness points are adhered to at all times during all site operations.
Maintain appropriate bonded areas for non-conforming items, items in quarantine pending inspection.

Resolve any doubts of interpretation with the Chief Assurance Engineer or the Materials and Process Technology Group as appropriate.
Liaise with the Chief Assurance Engineer and carry out periodic monitoring of subcontractors activities and/or systems.
Ensure that working documents, inspection and test reports, weld record sheets etc. are accurately completed in a timely manner (Including those of sub-contractors) and routed to the appropriate personnel on completion.
Assist in the Induction and training of all site personnel.
Control the issue and log the return of calibrated Measuring and Test Equipment.
Develop any new inspection methods and identify to the Outage Manager the need for any additional inspection equipment.
Liaise with the Third Party Inspection Authority and EDF Station QA/QC Personnel.
Record and track all lessons learned and complete an outage report
These duties are site specific and in addition / supplementary to those described in the Company Operating Manuals and Procedures.
Ensure you are familiar with documents and any legislation to which they refer. The Site Quality Engineer may be provided with clerical support to assist in the execution of these duties for whom he shall be responsible. The services of the site establishment, e.g. safety, admin. etc. shall also be available to him and full use should be made of these.

Candidate Specification
ONC in Engineering or equivalent, recognised apprenticeship (craftsman) or equiv with 2-5 years Engineering/Site Maintenance, Installation in Nuclear, Power Generation or Oil and Gas.
Candidates will be required to hold a CCNSG Safety Passport and or IOSH Managing Safely (where applicable). Previous Nuclear Site experience would be advantageous, along with full CTC (Counter Terrorist Check).

Hours will be either 10/12 per shift. Shifts will be 12on - 2off

Although the Outage will commence on approx. 28th August 2018 until November 2018, candidates will need to have an element of flexibility for completion dates.
Training will take place prior to commencing Outage.
