Purchasing Administrator; Based in Cambridge; 3 Month Contract (with review); £12.00 ph; 37 hours per week.
We are looking to recruit a purchasing administrator to be based at our client's site in the CB1 area of Cambridge.
The purpose of the role is to administer the entire purchasing lifecycle for all indirect materials purchased worldwide within the business unit. This activity should be performed in accordance with all defined business objectives, quality standards, and applicable purchasing terms and conditions. This role requires the candidate to work in a global organisation and interact with a global supplier base.
Primary Responsibilities Include (But Are Not Limited To)
Purchase Order processing including: Purchase Requisitions, Delegation of Authority, Purchase Order creation, delivery of goods and services, goods receipt, invoice, and payments.
Order receipt activities including: obtaining vendor's anticipated delivery date, troubleshooting late-delivery or quality issues, and communicating with internal stakeholders.
Issue resolution and compliance.
Build and manage relationships with both new and existing suppliers.
Build and maintain internal relationships to facilitate the continuity of services required.
Facilitate competitive bid analysis and negotiations for goods and services.
Previous procurement experience
Highly proficient in all MS Office tools (primarily Excel and PPT).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a multinational team environment.
Good organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with Oracle Purchasing
Experience compiling RFQ documents and evaluating competitive bids
Experience with statement of work and contract administration
