Our client is a major global player in the Nuclear industry. Operating on a UK Nuclear licensed site specialising in safe, cost effective and reliable uranium enrichment services based in Capenhurst, Chester.

Job Purpose

The Project Testing & Handover Operations Team (PT&H) are responsible for testing, commissioning and Handover of projects to ensure the projects are handed over in full compliance with the company instructions and standards. The PT&H department strives towards a culture of continuous improvement, enabling the company to achieve its safety, environmental and business objectives.

Job Role

The PTH engineer, reporting to the PTH manager functions as part of a multi-disciplined team for the purpose of carrying out testing and validation activities in line with CI-ENG-01 and relevant company instructions.

The SQEP role of the PTH engineer is assigned to specific projects and will have demonstrable qualifications, experience and behavioural competencies that are suitable to be assessed, in order take on specific duties and responsibilities.

The PTH engineer is Responsible for:

  • Carrying out all testing activities throughout all stages of the project
  • Identification of faults and ability to propose and implement solutions
  • Production of test documentation
  • Organisation of support resource
  • Initiation and implementation of a reservations list
  • Witnessing of test activities
  • Recording of supporting data in accordance with test requirements

Knowledge, Skill & Expertise

  • Engineering Degree or 4 years commissioning experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in a Chemical or Nuclear process plant environment.
  • Experience of providing technology support to a wide range of business personnel.
  • Ability to work with technical experts and plant operating team across all level of the organisation.
  • Experience of developing and delivering commissioning with a demonstrable record of success.
