Morson International working with a global consultancy who are looking for a Project/ Programme Manager to join their team in Stockholm. This is initially a 9 months contract with real possibilities of extension.


- Ensure that all assigned projects and product maintenance are delivered on-time, within scope, quality and budget
- Perform all duties expected of a project manager role, including: initiating, planning, managing execution, monitoring and closing projects
- Implement ICT quality processes and methodologies within all assigned projects
- Document project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Ensure resource availability and allocation
- Develop detailed project plans and release plans to track progress
- Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in scope, schedule and costs
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
- Report and escalate to management as needed
- Manage the relationship with stakeholders
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Perform the role of IT product manager, including planning and managing the lifecycle of an IT solution as defined
- When required, take the role of the business analyst, e.g. analyse and document user needs, specify requirements for approval, perform quality assurance or train users as required
- If required, fulfil the role as focal point for an IT portfolio


- University degree + 6 years of experience in IT OR non university degree + 12 years of experience in IT
- Minimum 4 years of experience in project management of computer software construction. Practical experience with software development methodologies and the system development life-cycle is in-dispensable
- Suitable certificates, like Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2, are an advantage

Minimum experience required:

- At least 1 year of relevant professional experience in managing software development projects/ maintenance/ package customisation, including multiple phases of the software life cycle
- At least 12 months of relevant higher education or at least 6 months of relevant professional experience of industry standards project management methodologies and best practices, demonstrated by practical experience in IT projects (e.g. PMBOK, PRINCE2, PM2, agile project management)
- At least 1 year of relevant professional experience in coordinating teams
- At least 1 year of relevant professional experience in working with external providers of software development and/or maintenance

- Experience in IT programme management, including programme coordination, communication, planning, budget planning and consolidation
- Experience using project management software (e.g. Microsoft Project Server)
- Experience delivering presentations
- Experience in planning, monitoring and controlling programmes
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal experience and skills
- Ability to build team spirit and create a sense of community amongst the members of the project teams
- Experience in the business context of public health or related fields
