Our nuclear sector client based in the Oxfordshire area has a permanent opportunity for a Project Planner
This Planning vacancy represents an opportunity to join a highly motivated team leading in the application of Project Controls working within an innovative and unique environment.
The scope of work involves decommissioning of science and research nuclear facilities restoring the site back to public use. This work is first of a kind and provides a unique challenge requiring an enquiring mind and application of problem-solving skills.
Qualifications and Experience
* Candidates will be expected to have a Level 5 qualification or equivalent significant, demonstrable planning experience.
* Membership of a relevant professional body is also desirable.

Key Deliverables
* Considerable planning experience within a relevant project environment
* Analytical skills associated with the development of duration estimates, progress tracking, trend analysis, risk assessment, what if scenarios and recovery planning.
* Excellent communications skills
* Experience developing schedules using Primavera P6
* High levels of integrity

Post holder will be expected to undertake the following:
* Conduct interactive planning sessions and capture information required for the development of project plans
* Produce schedules using Primavera P6 software in compliance with company procedures
* Measure, report and validate progress using Earned Value Management techniques
* Undertake Earned Value Analysis and other techniques as appropriate to develop forecasts and identify trends, issues and concerns for further action
* Maintain integrity of schedules through the application of Change Control processes
* Facilitate and undertake regular reviews and update the project risk register
* Analyse project risks and impacts and make recommendations as appropriate. Actively monitor progress with mitigation activities
* Contribute to the development of Works Information, development of pre-tender estimates and contract reviews
* Review supply chain programmes against Works Information in line with NEC3 contract management process and make recommendations to the Project Delivery team on the formal acceptance of programmes and their implications on project delivery
* Apply analytical techniques including review of float erosion, critical path analysis, recovery planning and impact analysis
* Manage interfaces between key stakeholders
* Work with project team to ensure consistent and accurate data is provided
* Support colleague's learning and development through knowledge sharing, task instruction etc.

Salary & Benefits:
* Salary range between (£40,219 and £53,339) depending on experience level
* 25 days annual leave
