The Successful Candidate will create project plans for new programmes and/or progress and maintain existing project plans as defined by Project Statement of Work (SOW) in accordance with the project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Organisation Breakdown Structure (OBS).
Is responsible for the development & definition of Project activities which allow the assigning of resource and application of workable logic within the planning toolset.
Will monitor feedback and report on the Project Plan to both internal and external customers.
Construct Level 2 project plan(s) from the information provided by Project/ Programme definition, and to monitor and maintain it thereafter.
Manage & control the Level 2 project schedule against base line conditions, including staff, production and materials.
Amend schedules as per approved Baseline Changes
Re-base line the plan(s) following a major contract change, to create a revised, viable programme of work for the remaining tasks
Analyse, interpret and report on key performance indicators such as earned value, schedule performance indicators, cost performance indicators and forecast cost at completion date
Perform analysis of programme, including critical path analysis, and to communicate the results to relevant parties using appropriate reporting tools and methods
Develop & report trend analysis of key programme events
Monitor plans (Level 2 and Level 3) to ensure that the processes relating project planning to detailed planning are being adhered to
Be accountable for maintaining quality standards within Plans and compliance to governance measures
Facilitate exchange of information between Project Manager & Control Account Manager (CAM)
Act to address problems / issues so that disruption to planned activities is minimised
Communicate cost & schedule risk to CAM and reports, contributing to recovery and improvement initiatives
Advise Stakeholders of development within own plan (s) that have implications for other plans; structure, template and Control Account
The successful Candidate will demonstrate an understanding of Lifecycle (LCM) principles and application, sufficient to underpin ways of working and changing projects
Show an understanding of Planning structures and principles (WBS,PBS (Product Breakdown Structure) etc.)
Will be able to demonstrate advanced IT skills and be proficient in the use of appropriate packages. (Primavera, Microsoft Office, etc)
Higher level of understanding of certain Planning focused Project Management disciplines.
Have an understanding of Engineering, Supply Chain & Operations requirements & processes to ensure delivery of incoming/outgoing data is appropriate and to standard
Show an understanding of Ship build manufacture processes across the build cycle and delivery requirements of Engineering & Supply Chain to support
Demonstrate an understanding and compliance with Company HR,SHE, & Quality policies and processes
