An exciting role has become available for an experienced Project Manager with Rail Principal Contractor delivery experience to lead on the delivery of Farringdon City Sidings (FCS). This is a unique opportunity to work on a prestigious Central London based project. The scope of the project is to transform a currently disused section of the railway into 10 new stabling roads. The project is part of the wider £4bn 4LM Programme and the FCS Project Manager will be directly accountable for a budget of circa £30m.

The delivery of these works brings the following benefits to the business:

It supports the injection of trains into Central London at the beginning of the morning peak.
It allows defective trains to be quickly moved off the main line improving service recovery during disruption.
It enables the use of existing disused central London railway assets to stable trains.

Ideally the candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

Principal Contractor delivery experience of complex rail projects (Principal Designer and Client experience would also be of benefit but not essential).
Multi-disciplinary delivery experience to include: Track, Drainage, Power & Signals.
Excellent Stakeholder managements skills required (due to the numerous internal and external interfaces).
Strong safety awareness of delivering large-scale high-risk construction projects.
Procurement and Contract Management experience (Asite & NEC3 beneficial).
Strong understanding of CDM compliance.

Ideally the candidate will possess the following qualifications:

APMP (PPQ) / PRINCE2 Practitioner
Professionally Chartered in a relevant subject area - (APM, ICE, RICS, etc)
Degree educated
Any other relevant professional qualifications
