Project Engineer

Our client are a multi disciplinary engineering and design consultancy, who engage in complex projects for their varied client base.

As part of a framework with their client in power generation, they are looking for a Project Manager/Project Engineer with a strong skill set/experience in the following areas:

Key Areas of Responsibility:
The Project Engineer/Manager will be responsible for ensuring the project proceeds, is completed in accordance with the programme, to quality requirements and budgetary limits, and:
* Establish and maintain the Project Control Manual as per the client requirements
* Liaise with site management, Contractors and other personnel / companies appointed to the project
* Attends / chairs meetings as required and provides progress reports
* Ensure the smooth operation of the project to deadlines and completion
* Monitor progress against the contract programme
* Co-ordinate, liaise and produce programmes for use by the project team as required
* Work with the Design Coordinator, Main Works Contractor and sub-contractors, and assist with evaluations of submitted designs to check compliance with client technical requirements and all relevant legislation
* Co-ordinate, liaise and deal with planning issues on the project
* Ensure requirements of Statutory Authorities are carried out and notifications are sent to the appropriate authority
* Maintain liaison between existing operations and the Contractor
* Liaise with the appointed CDM Adviser on any CDM related issue
* Manage the review of documents and method statements/risk assessments in accordance with QMS requirements
* If requested, support with accident/incident investigations as required
* Implement continuous improvement and capture Lessons Learned and Best Practice
* If requested, undertake H&S and/or Environmental inspection activities
* Coordinate monthly SHE reporting
* Coordinate the planning and submission of Commissioning Operational and Asset Acceptance certificates
* Manage and report the delivery of project drawings and records through all stages of design and construction
* Undertake Technical Inspection activities
