Morson International is recruiting for a Project Manager based in Crewe, working for a large Rolling Stock client.
The project manager role operates within statutory and regulatory legal requirements through company processes and procedures to deliver a wide range of projects within financial and commercial parameters, ensuring high quality outputs for our clients.
The project manager role shall define the organisation, communicate with internal departments and suppliers, identify project risks and control measures, schedule project meetings, monitor project performance and communicate with the customers. The project manager shall ensure all requirements are in place and prepare for handover of the project for business as usual, identifying lesson learnt and recommendations to close the project.
Project governance is provided at stage gate reviews and the project manager shall prepare key documents to gain authority for each project to progress through the life-cycle of bid, initiate, mobilise, delivery and close-out.
Manage projects through the life-cycle of bid, initiate, mobilise, delivery and close-out, ensuring all work undertaken is done so in a timely manner and a high standard, in line with customer expectations
Maintain compliance with statutory and regulatory legal requirements through company processes and procedures
Identify project risk control measures and conduct periodic reviews to mitigate impact on project, escalating high risks and issues for resolution
Develop effective internal and external working relationships that deliver project requirements and contracted deliverable
Deliver pro-active customer management, leading project review meetings, identify opportunities to maximise revenues and minimise costs
Understand and recognise new stakeholder opportunities and maintain existing stakeholder relationships
Support the bid team as required with input to support potential new work opportunities and contracts
Develop internal systems, processes, procedures and reporting mechanisms providing clear project control, drive continuous improvement initiatives
Compile regular project reports detailing performance status.
Ensure project performance adheres to strict budgets and management of costs with use of ERP system and recording of key project costs
