This is an exciting opportunity to support our client in the delivery of a major construction project in the UK on behalf of its UK MoD Customer. The Investment Projects team are looking for someone with a solid project management background preferably within a Facilities Design and Construction delivery environment. The role will be working remotely on an RAF base between Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with the potential for some weekend working. This role offers the opportunity to work in a customer facing environment with potential scope to develop further skills and knowledge in the Facilities Design and Construction arena.

This role is Remotely based in the UK at RAF Lossiemouth. However, there may be an initial requirement to be based at Samlesbury for initial on boarding / induction period.
- Experience of working on a complex facilities design or construction projects
- Experience of dealing with and co-ordinating multiple stakeholders and their requirements for a design or/and construction project
- Proven Client Site project Management, facilities Management Experience and understanding of the processes in design and construction
- Demonstrable Experience and awareness of construction and Health and Safety Management and knowledge to CDM Regulations is essential
- Experience of undertaking integration activities across all phases of facilities project i.e. design, Tender and construction
- Project Management qualification would be desirable
- Financial Management Experience and an awareness of project Control processes on a design and construction project
- Ability to prepare Management information
- Experience in supplier Management skills in design and construction environment
- Flexibility for UK travel as appropriate is required

Responsibilities

This role will be critical in the delivery of the TFST Programme and the key responsibility areas are listed below:
- Creation and Maintenance of the management plans detailing the site specific processes and procedures
- Involvement in reviewing and interrogating the Contractors Construction Programme to highlight any areas of concern, working closely with the Senior Project Manager and Construction Manager. Attendance and input to Regular Weekly progress reviews and bi-weekly/monthly detailed programme reviews
- Supporting and managing the coordination of Construction activities and it's potential impact on the RAF base through on site discussions with the RAF Basing teams
- Working with the Supply chain professional team with the coordination and delivery of the change process ensuring that each change is tracked and delivered with all the required supporting information to allow the upwards flow of information into wider BAE Systems commercial processes to allow for contracting
- Understand the Project DAREO, co-ordinate regular reviews to align with the Contractor DAREO and demonstrate compliance, and understand any potential issues. relating to Dependecies, Assumptions, Risks, Exclusions and Dependencies. Assist with the compilation of any mitigation plans to address areas of concern identified.
- Support the on site valuation process to ensure all relevant information is presented and reported into the Samlesbury team
- Ensure that all the site specific Contractor and Professional team cost information is supplied into the Project control team
- Ensure that the valuation process and it's impact on any relevant Cash Flow forecasting is understood and reported to the Project Control team
- Provide the Facilities Management team with the relevant BAE Systems PM Governance utilising reachback support to the Samlesbury PM Team as required
- Manage the onsite reporting cycle with inputs from the Professional team adding the
- Creation and co-ordination of management information for review with TFST Integration manager to support successful interface with key stakeholders at all levels
- Ensure that all site specific information is collated and ready to support the upwards reporting cycle into IP and the wider TFST meetings
- Compilation of KPI trackers and co-ordination of Monthly KPI reviews with BAE Systems contractors to monitor and report on progress against the schedule of services
- Must hold a valid CSCS card (or equivalent)
- Understanding and co-ordinate our clients handover process with the client, contractors and provide updates on progress through the relevant reporting cycle
