Project Manager with working knowledge of the UK Defence Industry required to ensure the successful delivery of the project. The role will provide the overall project management rigour, change control, commercial awareness & stakeholder management to complement the existing technical management skills within the team.
The role involves but is not limited to the following:
Facilitate Project Execution
Support the management of both Risk and Opportunities
Facilitate Project Planning
Report to Management on the progress and performance of the project
Manage sub-contractors, ensuring flowthrough of customer requirements and supplier performance
Manage and motivate project team
Manage all project stakeholders; ensuring strong communications are established and maintained
Ensure a relevant Project Management Plan complete with resource plan fully maintained
Ensure appropriate Project Governance
Ensure all Project activities undertaken comply with the relevant company processes
Some or all of the following is required:
Strong planning and delivery orientation
Commercial / financial / business acumen
Experience in Project Managing projects > £1m
Extensive client and stakeholder management
A positive attitude combined with excellent interpersonal and motivational skills.
An ability to embrace and encourage change.
The ability to interface with clients at a senior level
Full business lifecycle management, including capture, qualification and developing capture plans and winning strategies
A "strategic approach" to dealing with partners, clients and staff.
Experience of working across boundaries, including knowledge of commercial management, best practice supply chain and finance functions.
Engineering or Business Degree/Diploma
Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance.
