Project Manager - Contract - Sunderland - NHS Build
My client are a leading Tier 1 contractor who specialise in new build, major project schemes across a variety of sectors including: residential, commercial, industrial and healthcare projects cross the UK. As such, they are looking for a Project Manager to lead a NHS, £30m new build extension project in Sunderland .
As the Project Manager you will have day to day control of the site, management and delivery of the project work. You must have previous experience with working within a live site within a busy city centre project. This will produce certain challenges with regards to site logistics and working around the public around building areas.
You will be:
-Responsible for the safety and welfare of the site and those on it.
-Responsibility for the successful completion of the section of works/overall project and to lead by example in all that they do, managing the day to day delivery of construction projects quality, time, procurement, contractors.
-Managing sub-contractors, including monitoring of contractor attendance and progress provide direct instruction and support as necessary such that contractual arrangements are achieved.
-Producing and reviewing short term programmes.
-Responsible for ensuring that detailed plans in place to for material/resources/supply chain to be delivered to meet scheduled deadlines.
-Liaising with the end client, employer area directors & commercial leads to ensure that they are fully aware of project progress and are notified of all financial, specification and time risks ensuring that all additional work is identified.
You will have:
Chartership accredited preferred not essential.
5 or more years relevant projects experience within a similar contractor (Preferable).
Relevant qualification commensurate with the role and responsibility.
