Job Description

A Last Time Buy Project Data Controller is required in the Typhoon Obsolescence Integration team.

Key Responsibilities This includes but not limited to:
Support the LTB data cleanse activities across all Customers and Suppliers.
Support the generation and management of closure plans recovering LTB costs from all Customers.
Support the generation of LTB consumption reports into all internal and external Customers.
Analysis of LTB financial data with the teams to ensure data integrity of actual costs/Journals & monthly reporting.
Cleanse LTB financial data within all project control systems to reflect the LTB holdings across BAE SYSTEMS and Customers.
Support the development and implementation of Obsolescence and Last Time Buy process improvements.

Key Skills:


IT literate in Microsoft systems with aptitude to learn new systems i.e. databases, risk management systems and EV Management systems.
Experience in using MS Office and in particular a very proficient user of MS Excel.
The role holder should have strong communication skills and be able to undertake tasks with limited support.
Motivated individual with personal drive and commitment. Especially in times of tight deadlines / Business needs.
Able to exchange factual information, respond to enquiries and provide simple explanations on a daily basis.
Ability to persuade or influence others based on firm supportive evidence sometimes requiring interactive discussion and debate.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be required to perform tasks suitable to the internal level of this role. The role will contain, but will not be limited to, the following:

Support the Contract Owner in delivery of the Typhoon Legacy CSRs and associated IBP including allocation & processing of budgets, latest consumption data and associated credits.
Support the Contract Owner in maintaining control of contract activities carried out in support of the Legacy LTB contracts & IEPs including investigations into ad hoc LTB queries.
Support the Contract Owner and co-ordinate with the virtual team to complete the LTB to LRI mapping activity.
Drive the LTB Return to Green plan specifically for the BAE SYSTEMS legacy contracts including generation of bids to recover BAE funding, close the associated IEPs and legacy CSR closure plans.
Support the Contract Owner in providing a monthly Project Performance Review (PPR) reporting pack for Legacy LTBs customers, ensuring all stakeholders are given adequate notice for inputs and all submissions meet required deadlines.
Act as a focal point for co-ordination and consolidation of Typhoon Legacy LTB data.
Support the PM function back to basics campaign by actioning IEP extensions, Trigger BCR's, Directives, LN requisitions in a timely manner on receipt of a valid Work Authorisation or Obsolescence Notification Proforma (ONP) ensuring that supporting CAM's are authorised to commence work and all central PM metrics are green.
Maintain continuous and accurate records of all Project Control documents (eg. Work Authorisations, Trigger BCR's, Directives, ONPs, purchase requisitions, etc).
Act as a focal point for closure of Legacy LTB contracts and IEPs including detailed reporting of consumption and funding.

The Individual

LTB data is held in large Excel spreadsheet files. The candidate MUST therefore be proficient at managing large amounts of data within multiple Excel spreadsheets.
Key Skills required are: stakeholder management, excellent communication skills - both written and verbal, IT - word, excel, power point, excellent attention to detail and accuracy & pro-active

The candidate must have excellent Microsoft Office Excel skills and is good with Word, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook

Communication, Team Working and Motivation are essential

NVQ Level 2

Recognising the restricted nature of the work there is a requirement for the candidate to be eligible to obtain Security Clearance for this role.
