A leading client in the Rail Industry is recruiting for a PMO - PM to work on a contract basis, based at their offices in Manchester.

The PMO - Project Manager will be working on a Clean Air Plan (CAP) programme and OLEV/ULEV Taxi Infrastructure.

Role is outside scope paying up to £550 per day.

Scope:

  • Develop and manage projects in line with the Project and Programme management

procedures including owning the risk register, schedule, cost plan and other project

documentation required for Gateway submission and all governance / approvals.

  • Work with GM CAP Programme Team and Lead Advisor to develop projects in line with FBC

requirements.

  • Work with other key internal and external stakeholders to develop the project in readiness

for consultation and FBC submission.

  • Prepare and input into various reports, both internal and external as necessary.
  • Attend various meetings, including Boards and Steering Groups as necessary, to report on

progress.

  • Understand and adhere to the requirements as necessary, developing the project from

inception to delivery, in line with Project and Programme management procedures.

  • Work with other key internal and external stakeholders to develop the project.
  • Prepare and input into various reports, both internal and external as necessary.
  • Attend various meetings to report on progress.

General project management skills are essential, understanding the requirements associated with

the overarching development of projects (subject to governance processes and formal approvals)

including procurement. It would be highly beneficial to have excellent stakeholder relationship skills

with experience of working with members of the public. Also, experience of driving a project forward

within a complex environment would be valuable.

Experience of working within a political environment would be useful.
