Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
To manage projects with a mix of internal teams, partners, external consultants and peers on the customer side.
As project manager he has the overall responsibility for planning and managing a specified subproject of a multi-partner large sized project with significant teams which delivery is key to the overall customer project.
The Project Manager will have input into the project planning process.
The nature of the role requires excellent stakeholder management skills to build strong client contacts with senior stakeholders across the business.
He is overall responsible for successful project delivery in aspects of quantity, quality, on time delivery within the assigned project scope
Manages the overall project deliverables fulfilling on time delivery of roll out targets assuring quality standards are fulfilled in accordance with the customer guidelines.
Constantly contributes on improving efficiency and reducing cost of the project delivery
Must be committed to increasing customer satisfaction. He sets achievable customer expectations and ensures commitments to customers are met
Must be able to adapt to operating within an environment of changing priorities and is able to remain focused on continual improvement
Provide progress reports on key deliverables to management and customer at an agreed frequency.
Additional tasks assigned by the manager to be completed whenever applicable
Solid background in telecommunications of at least 10 years' experience
Must have been in multiple senior project management positions (5 years minimum) in telecommunication area managing complex projects in accordance with recognized project management methodology (PMP, Price 2 or equivalent).
Previous experience in the German telecommunications market is expected preferably in roll out management related fields ideally with knowledge of our main customer
Ability to listen, communicate, challenge and influence team members, immediate peer group and senior business management
Shows excellent planning, co-ordination and organization skills
Demonstrates excellent leadership skills and _can do_ attitude - can inspire and energize people by gaining respect and trust
Excellent people management skills
Relevant experience in vendor/partner/subcontractor management
Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in pressurized, stressful and uncertain situations
Capable to develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders within the business at all levels.
Well organised and able to multi task effectively.
Responsive and follows through on agreed actions
Ability to express ideas and information clearly and concisely.
Demonstrates a passion for excellence, setting high standards for self and others.
PMP, Prince 2, qualification preferred
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Projects, Word and PowerPoint are essential
