Project Leader to be responsible To lead and develop the effective Governance of Processes and Procedures within the Planning and Project Control areas of the business. In addition to management of existing process adherence, the role includes a significant element of process improvement and development activity of both new and existing ways of working. This will include the development and monitoring of appropriate Governance measures.

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

Assess and measure levels of process adherence through audits and appropriate metrics and initiate appropriate actions based on results.

To facilitate the development, embedding and documenting of process improvements within the PM functional area, and manage cross functional interfaces as appropriate.

Effective stakeholder management to ensure all deliverables are achieved and that issues are effectively addressed.

Lead and develop a small team to achieve their work programme, meeting all performance measures (cost schedule, quality and safety).

Promote and govern continuous improvement within the functions by providing expertise in process change, development documentation and measurement.

To have a clear understanding of and apply the Quality and HS&E Management System documentation e.g. Process Instructions, Workmanship Standards, Risk Assessments etc. applicable to your particular work scope and to obey all HS&E rules and control measures

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in the following:

Knowledge of Submarines Planning and Project control processes

Knowledge of Submarines Production systems and ways of working

Project management experience.

Proven ability in cross-functional stakeholder management.

HNC or Equivalent in relevant subject area - preferably Project or Business Management

Qualified to perform process audit activity or experience of performing audit activity

Understanding of LCM processes

Ability to manage the day to day activities of a small team

Experience of Process Development or business Change programmes

Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance
