To lead and develop a team of employees in achieving departmental and company goals and performance targets.

Oversee operational facilities management contracts ie Catering,Cleaning,Waste and Laundry. Ensure all contracts are managed and delivered safely and in accordance with Company requirements as per cost, schedule & quality including working with and managing key stakeholder expectations. Leading and developing a small team to achieve their work programme and meet all performance measures. Maintaining and promoting a safety culture that is compliant with Company and Health and Safety legislation.

Additional Information

Proven experience in Project Managing tasks from planning to completion including management of KPI's ,monthly contract status reviews and reporting Proven experience of managing a team.

  • Lead and develop the team to achieve their work programme, meeting all performance measures (cost schedule, quality and safety).
  • Communicate effectively with the team, management and customer both internal and external. Manage team communication in line through a visual management approach.
  • Take responsibility for the performance management of the team, including performance reviews in line with the company process.
  • Manage budgets according to company processes.
  • Create sound inter and cross functional relationships.
  • Drive through a culture of continuous improvement throughout the team.
  • To be a facilitator to the team (support the team by co-ordinating actions to progress work activities).
  • To effectively manage resources and activities to meet any set programme.
  • To help support and maintain the IWT/Project Management structure including the encouragement and maintenance of continual improvement of the process.
  • Ensure that own development is planned as is that of other team members.

The Individual

Recognised qualification in Project or Facilities Management. NEBOSH would be desirable. You will be highly organised and self-motivated with the ability to prioritise workloads in a challenging environment. Your communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build effective relationships with multiple stakeholders.

  • Lead, develop and motivate any reporting and assigned staff through good communication and honest open management techniques in keeping with company values and policies and procedures.
  • To be conversant with the Quality and HS&E Management Systems, specifically the processes and documentation, training & risk assessments associated with your particular function. To deploy the applicable Quality Management System and HS&E documentation to your team ensuring they have both a thorough understanding of the content, risks and control measures and can ultimately demonstrate their competence to apply them. To exhibit the required company HS&E behaviours and to demonstrate practical HS&E leadership.

Key Attributes

  • HNC or equivalent
  • Skilled in the use of standard Microsoft packages and specialist packages as required
  • Sound knowledge of Submarines operations processes
  • To have a recognised trade background
