An opportunity has arisen for a Project Lead to join the team with our pretigious client

Job Description


We are looking for a Project Professional to deliver the aircraft clearances and equipment non recurring programmes that are required in support of the Quadriga programme. The job holder will be required to work innovatively with the functional teams and customer communities to ensure effective delivery of contractual outputs.

Principle accountabilities would be


Project/programme delivery.
Identify and develop new business opportunities adjacent to the project/programme.
Financially plan and achieve acceptable business financial objectives for orders, sales, gross margin and cash.
Monitor and report project/programme performance for schedule, technical, financial and quality objectives.
Establish and maintain strong customer and supplier relationships maintaining regular communications and managing expectations.
Take responsibility for achieving customer satisfaction.
Proactively manage emerging risks and opportunities to the benefit of the project/programme.
Continuous improvement and tailoring of procedures and guidelines for operation of the project/programme, ensuring adherence to the Operational Framework and LCM mandates.

Able to balance sometimes conflicting priorities and respond to tight timescales whilst keeping all stakeholders engaged

Able to work innovatively with the functional teams and customer communities to ensure effective delivery of contractual outputs.

Responsibilities


The successful candidate will be required to perform tasks suitable to the internal level of this role. The role will contain, but will not be limited to, the following:

Project/programme delivery.

The Individual


The role is to support the delivery of the Quadriga programme, specifically to deliver the aircraft clearances needed within the Supplement 5 programme in order to provide a WSDDP and the equipment non recurring programmes that are required in support of the weapon systems baseline. The job holder will be required to work innovatively with the functional teams and customer communities to ensure effective delivery of contractual outputs, with principle accountabilities.

Recommended Qualifications and Experience:


Experience of Project Management of complex capability activities.
Working knowledge and operational experience of the BAE Systems Operational Framework and Life Cycle Management Framework.
Understanding of the Financial, Commercial and Procurement processes and practices within BAE Systems.
Capable of establishing credibility and hence influence with stakeholders across the business and the customer
Capable of understanding, progressing and resolving complex project management issues.
Capable of understanding the process and organisational issues associated with capability delivery programmes.
Educated to Degree level or equivalent in a programme management discipline. Chartered Status and or APMP/APM Practitioner qualifications would be highly desirable.

The candidate must be good with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook


Communication, Team Working and Motivation are Essential

Recognising the restricted nature of the work there is a requirement for the candidate to be eligible to obtain Security Clearance for this role.
