Morson International are looking to recruit experienced Project Engineers to provide flexible and adaptable services to our client, ensuring high quality and efficient delivery of varied projects; enhancing the overall delivery capability. This role is a key position in the Project Engineering Group, with hands on approach and therefore the Post Holder will be proficient in engineering standards and practices, and be capable of delivering simple, complex and major projects.

You would ensure all activities are carried out with due consideration to the client and other key stakeholders in the Urban Rail operational environments. Providing regular updates to Project Engineering Manager / Project Managers / Delivery Managers and the Client

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • To participate in directing the engineering and implementation of a number of simple and major telecommunications projects for customers both external and within the company
  • Develop and maintain good business and personal relationships with customers key engineering staff, understanding and meeting their project specific requirements
  • Contribute to the engineering design and implementation through all project stages from the input to bids through to completion for each allocated project
  • Assist the design team to manage the translation of the customer specification into effective and appropriate engineering specifications that will meet the functional requirements
  • Support the construction team for each project and ensure that all elements of the project are delivered in line with the Project Manager's programme. This will include: design, system integration, procurement, (end to end material management), installation, site engineering, testing & commissioning and handover to the relevant Safety and Technical standards
  • Identification of the opportunities to deliver or improve gross margin
  • Input to the engineering review process to enable effective monitoring of progress and the identification and mitigation of risk to delivery
  • Input to the production of all relevant project safety, quality and engineering and project reports
