£265 - £300 per day + £75 T&S per diem

Morson International has a 12 month contract opportunity for a PROJECT ENGINEER (Decommissioning with a Mechanical bias). The service will be carried out within our Clients FCA Directorate at Dounreay.
The day rate range is £265 to £300/LTD (DOE). A T&S allowance will be payable at £75 per diem. Flexibility is offered on a Monday/Friday for travelling with the additional option of compressed working week or negotiable working cycle.
You will be responsible for specifying and managing engineering activities to manage and deliver project activities.
*Control, develop and monitor plans and procedures
*Identify resource requirements to prepare for/carry out activities
*Develop appropriate solutions for decommissioning/operational problems
*Monitor implementation of plans and procedures to ensure compliance with project schedules, safety procedures and legislation
*Undertake the professional management and execution of project works including observation of work to identify industry standards are applied
*Generate work packages for specific activities
*Write Technical Specifications
*May perform the responsibilities of Management Appointments relevant to post
In-depth knowledge of own discipline and ability to interface effectively with other disciplines Ability to apply engineering processes to achieve engineering solutions
Detailed knowledge of:
Plant, engineering assets and equipment
Key legislative issues, regulatory requirements and legislating bodies
All relevant radiological, conventional, environmental and safety issues
Practical experience of radioactive facilities and characterisation and of Waste operations including a working knowledge of Dounreay PTW system
Awareness of nuclear safety principles, security, radiological protection, criticality safety and nuclear emergency procedures
Able to demonstrate good organisational and planning skills.
Sound interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge and experience of project management and controls, processes and procedures
Knowledge and experience of works controls, processes and procedures
Familiarisation with Fuel Cycle Area and associated decommissioning
programme (preferred but not essential)
