Project Engineer required to be responsible for delivering an array of projects as part of the Buildings and Construction Team. Working closely with the design teams, procurement and the appointed contractors the Project Engineer responsibility is to ensure that all projects produce the required standard of quality. The business is looking for a confident, polished professional who will be able to take the lead of the multifunctional team to meet the customer requirements while liaising with Facility Management to ensure handover is completed and information is communicated.
The business is looking for a highly experienced construction Project Engineer that is self-motivated and understands the requirements of working in a manufacturing plant delivering a vast array of projects to the targets set.
The job holder will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Liaise with the team project team members to ensure compliance to SQCDP (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People) Target Conditions.
Plan and monitor the project status to assure the overall direction and integrity of the projects.
Take responsibilities for overall progress of projects and use the necessary resources and initiates corrective actions where necessary.
Ensure that the internal Facilities Management is in place with regular reviews.
Be responsible for change / variation process control and liaise with team members to ensure compliance to the approved budget.
Agree technical and quality strategy with appropriate members of the Project.
Identify and obtain any support and advice required for the management, planning and control of the project.
Identify and advise the Head of Business of any deviations or risks from plan and recommend corrective action and help prepare any appropriate Exception Plans.
Ensure that evaluation of Project Issues that arise within your project with recommended action.
Ensure that quality controls of the team's work are planned and performed correctly.
Maintain and ensure the maintenance of team files or folders.
Prepare the End Project Report via customer feedback and supplier performance.
Undertake a Lessons Learnt with the team when the project fails to meet the agreed standards or target conditions.
The job holder will be able to demonstrate experience in the following:
Managing project from thresholds between 150k and 5m with demonstrated performance.
Degree Level qualification in Civil of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering or Construction.
IOSH or NEBOSH qualified.
CSCS or CCNSG qualified.
Proven ability to deliver results under pressure.
Extensive experience with a project delivery position and construction knowledge
Excellent communication and IT skills.
Experience working on airfields "airside" would be advantageous.
Proactive and tenacious in character.
Strong communication skills.
Experience of managing large complex projects in a production environment.
Airfield knowledge and pervious experience delivering projects in this arena would be advantageous.
Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance
