Project Engineer required to support the function in the achievement of its key objectives of safety, quality, delivery, cost and people and to play a key part in engaging with stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure the project is delivered successfully, particularly Programme Changes. Candidates will be confident and able to manage a number of tasks effectively, to timescales and quality. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with a number of different stakeholders both internally and externally are required and you will be proactive with exceptional analytical and problem solving skills. Good IT skills are essential and SAP knowledge preferred.

You will be part of a team enabling the delivery of a towed gun programme which includes design change, production, test & development, support and warranty.

The role involves but is not limited to the following:

Support the Programme Manager in processing and executing Contract Modifications

Support the development of Technical, Support and Production-related Change solutions and costs, in accordance with LCM Mandates

Work effectively with critical Functions such as Procurement, Commercial, Engineering, Operations, Finance and PM

Responsibility for the implementation of good Project Management practice

Define, execute and plan contractual deliverables on time and to budget.

Identify and analyse potential schedule issues and propose corrective solutions.

Work with key stakeholders and other functions to ensure contractual deliveries are on time, to cost and quality.

Communicate with internal and external customers both formally and informally

Participate in, or possibly chair, multi-functional internal meetings.

Demonstrate excellent teamwork and a willingness to improve and learn new skills.

Produce periodic metrics to demonstrate performance against contract and customer requirements.

Compile and produce weekly and monthly associated reports.

Skills and qualifications will include:

Manufacturing/Defence Contracting

Project Change Management experience

Recognised PM training/ qualification

Experience of stakeholder management

Risk Management experience

Safety awareness

IT Literate - MS Office / Project / SAP

Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance.
