A Project Engineer applies broad-based engineering skills in decision-making processes. Must leverage training and talents to manage Connection / Downhole Tool Assessment Projects from inception to completion, which include: producing proposals, facilitating testing and scheduling employing keen knowledge of ISO, API, and ExxonMobil Connection testing procedures. Candidate must also be able to handle internal projects and assume high-level responsibilities across all platforms of the company in a small business environment.

* Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or college.
* Detail oriented and able to creatively solve problems while using the materials and facts at hand.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and flexibility to work on multiple projects and assignments.
* Exceptional work ethic that values dedication and results.
* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills-Candidate must have the ability to write reports, business correspondence, work instructions, effectively present information and articulate technical concepts to clients, managers, and other employees.
* Strong skills in Microsoft suite
* Able to take measurements using calipers, micrometers and other instruments.
* Able to be contacted by personnel and clients by phone 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
* Able to perform work from company laptop while out of the office.
* Able to perform without error under occasional stressful and urgent situations.
* Proficiency in SolidWorks and/or other CAD software is preferred.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, however, other duties may apply)
* Communicate effectively daily with clients, lab technicians, and management.
* Able to interpret customized test plans and develop test schematics to support.
* Estimates set-up times, operating times and demobilize times.
* Acquiring lead times and quotes from vendors.
* Plans and formulates testing proposals which include a scope of work and cost estimate of the project.
* Generate project work instructions for lab technicians.
* Produce technical reports of tests performed.
* Basic knowledge of engineering as it primarily relates to the mechanics of materials, fluid flow, energy storage, material selection, pressure vessels.
* Gain working knowledge of ISO, API, ExxonMobil Connection testing standards.
* Perform administrative tasks, such as reviewing invoices, requesting legal support and developing internal forms.
* Designs and/or develops new products, special instruments, and unique equipment to meet the specific requirements of customers.
* Provides project leadership and technical guidance on complex engineering projects.
* Continually monitors projects for safety and quality concerns.
* Interface with other internal departments (engineering, purchasing, field service, manufacturing and sales).
* Be the primary contact for all technical matters pertaining to the project for the customers.
* Completion of assigned tasks, on time and within budget, while meeting the scope of work for the accuracy and soundness of all engineering work produced by assigned groups and utilizing whatever resource that may be required.
* Occasional travel locally and internationally for API/ISO or client meetings.

The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit and occasionally reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must also be able to climb, balance, and work within confined spaces although such a requirement is not typical. The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

The work environment conditions described here are representative of those an employee may regularly encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. The native setting is in an office but occasionally requires the employee's attention on the laboratory floor where moving mechanical parts are exposed. The noise level in the work environment can occasionally be loud due to the laboratory operations.
