Broughton – onsite working requirement

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Airbus Broughton within the Manufacturing Engineering Function supporting the Single Aisle programme. We are looking for an individual with strong project management skills with ideally automotive or aerospace background to join our team. The job holder is responsible for scoping, developing and delivering projects that will benefit businesses across the Broughton plant.

Tasks & Accountabilities

The successful applicant will have the autonomy to develop and deliver new projects on behalf of the Manufacturing Engineering team.

There will be scope to lead a number of different types of projects including Continuous Improvement Projects, Environmental Projects, Health & Safety Projects as well as providing technical support to the manufacturing operations departments.

• Discovering different manufacturing technologies
• Manage the full project scope from end to end.
• Influence key stakeholders outside of your sphere of influence

Accountabilities

• Strong collaboration with business areas to ensure On Time, Cost and Quality projects.
• Work in partnership with the suppliers to support product development.
• Track project milestones with visible KPIs and manage key stakeholders through Multi-Functional Teams.

Technical Skills & Competencies

• Degree/HND/HNC/NVQ4 in Engineering or closely related subject, or
• Lower academic qualifications combined with 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing engineering environment, or Higher Apprenticeship or equivalent in Engineering.
• Experienced knowledge of aircraft production, and engineering methods and procedures.
• Proven Project management experience
• Problem solving techniques.
• Fluent English negotiation level (commercial and technical).
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
