Moron International has a 12 month contract opportunity for PROJECT CONTROLS (COST/PLANNING) SUPPORT. The service will be provided at our Clients Site, Dounreay.
The day rate range is £215 to £250/LTD (Negotiable/DOE). A T&S allowance will be payable at £75 per diem. Flexibility is offered on a Monday/Friday for travelling with the additional options of a compressed working week or a negotiable working cycle.
You will be required to provide Baseline configuration and performance management deliverables using Project Controls which will encompass:
*Support the project delivery teams
*Participate in and provide information on project controls processes and systems to project teams
*Identify developing project control issues
*Analyse progress against project baseline
*Advise project teams of project controls performance issues
*Use recognised best practise in project controls and comply with all DSRL standards, procedures and instructions
*Interact proactively/routinely with the project control staff in other areas/interfacing teams for project/operations cost data and expenditure profiles, ensuring that costs are correctly aligned with programme phases, activities and duration
Key Skills & Experience Required:
Recognise and understand the project controls deliverables.
Be competent in the use and application of the project controls tools and terminology.
Be able to produce, maintain and update cost and schedule baselines.
Be able to produce accurate cost & schedule progress reports.
Demonstrate an understanding of controls deliverables and the importance of producing accurate cost and schedule progress reports. Technically competent in project controls tools.
Will have the ability to create and update schedules and costs generate EV, SPI and CPI ratings to compare cost and schedule progress against baseline.
Understand the best methods of obtaining schedule and cost information from the project team by identifying the best approach to the different people involved with the project. Be able to identify where benchmark activity and cost information from past projects is available to be used in current projects.
Have detailed knowledge of developing & implementing baselines that encompass resource, cost resource & schedule. Should also be able to develop a logic driven schedule. Can accurately identify the status of the project and cost and time through all phases of the project.
Will be able to identify why and where change has occurred and be pro-active in advising the project team and programme office of changes that will be detrimental to the business.
Will co-ordinate information between all external groups that may have an influence in their project.
Collates relevant project data to be recorded for use in future projects. Will be able to participate in internal and external progress meetings presenting schedule and cost positions.
