An opportunity has arisen for a Project Controller to work with our Client BAE, the Project Controller will be reporting directly to the Air ECTP PMO Project Management (PM) Lead, the job holder will be responsible for effectively delivering all elements of Project Control in line with Corporate and Air Sector governance requirements and using their experience and judgement in the application of specialist techniques. The job holder will work with the PMO PM Lead to ensure that Project Control activities are being developed and delivered to meet the success criteria of the programme in the following areas:

  • Ensure that the project scope and work content is aligned with project objectives and success criteria and manage any necessary changes to the project baseline plan
  • Establish and maintain a change control process
  • Support project finances using the appropriate tool sets e.g. InfoLN, Coupa:

Purchase Orders, Invoices, Accruals, Estimate to Completion (ETC), Estimate at Completion (EAC), Process Status Report (PSR), Quality Improvement Plan (QIP), Internal Status Report (ISR), Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Quarterly Business Review (QBR)

  • Support project resourcing
  • Support Project Management capability and skills development
  • Schedule management within an agile project environment
  • Manage the ECTP dependencies, assumptions, risks, exclusions, opportunities (DAREO) as and when required
  • Co-ordinate the monthly ECTP Programme Review pack and follow up any actions to closure
  • Co-ordinate the review and update of the ECTP Strategic Objectives on a monthly basis
  • Help the PMO PM Lead to deploy an Agile approach on the ECTP (Sprints,Kan Ban's, Serum, Ceremonies, Tasks, Time Box Records etc) using the Atlassian lM&T Tool sets (Jira/Confluence)
  • Co-ordinating Life cycle Management (LCM) Design/Phase Reviews as and when required including Chair and Assessor liaison, review material readiness, logistics and scheduling, keeping the LCMS toolset up to date for ECTP and following up any actions to closure
  • Review and update ECTP Project Management documents (e.g. Project Management Plan and any related PM documents)
  • Review and update ECTP Project Management information (e.g PM Artefacts, PMO area) on Confluence
  • Deploy effective project controls and ensure that company governance is being followed
  • Stakeholder & communications management
  • Continuous improvement of project deliverables, processes and procedures
  • Conduct lessons learned reviews and share good/best practice Specifically, the position holder will:
  • Generate and disseminate high quality information to ECTP stakeholders at varying levels of seniority, in the form of presentations, face to face discussions and formal reports
  • Manage dependencies such as Enterprise IT Services (EITS), the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OClO) and other related projects (Phoenix/Saturn) to ensure that their activities are aligned with the ECTP project needs
  • Complete Project Control activities and facilitate meetings in readiness for ECTP ISR's / IBP I QBR's / Programme Reviews I Resource Reviews / People Reviews / DAREO Reviews etc
  • Support ECTP Business Operations I Business Management activities e.g. LITA,

Induction/Off-boarding, Training & Development, Communications, SHE, Documents Records Management, Work space, Operational Assurance Statement, Business Continuity Management, Diversity & Inclusion

  • working with the ECTP Management team, the wider ECTP project team and key internal stakeholders e.g. HR, Finance, IM&T, Project Management to ensure that the programme delivers the right outcome for the Air sector business
  • deputise for the PMO PM Lead if required
