Job Title: Programme Financial Controller

Our client in Filton is currently offering a 12 month Financial Controller position to work on one of their key programmes in the aviation sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for the A330 Wing programme controlling within the ES controlling centre perimeter and will report to the Head of Airframe Wing Controlling.

This key role is the counterpart of Head of Airframe Programme and the focal point accountable for A330 Wing program convergence with Airbus controller program. You will apply FC program guidelines, building up drivers for the series programs.


-Establish consolidated financial reporting for the whole Airframe perimeter.
-Guarantee the constant availability of accurate and challenged financial data to allow decision-making at all transnational Airframe levels
-Coordinate the A330 Wing Airframe Controlling teams in all translational financial and Program related exercises.
-Lead all A330 Wing Program and financial related exercises within the Airframe organisation
-Consolidating operational input at program level and analyses variances with target for this program in close relationship with Operational controller including:
- Convergences reviews in AOP process
- Convergences review for Risks & Opportunities recognition during the year
- Validation, postponement or cancellation of additional activity during the year
-Preparation of EVM (Earned value management) status and analysis for monthly review (for programs concerned)
-Provision of CPN links to activity to operational controller

Skills and Experience

-CIMA/ACCA qualified or equivalent by experience
-Experience in a FC role on major engineering programmes, preferably in the aerospace industry
-Able to ensure that a clear set of reliable financial data is released internally and externally to stakeholders
-Good knowledge of A/C development process.
-Excellent Communication skills and ability to simplify financial data
-Business partnering mind-set (I.e. developing a trustful relationship, building empathy and focusing on adding value)
-Capacity to challenge based on solid analysis and strong back-up from Costing.
