Morson Group are currently recruiting for a Production Technician to work for one of our military and defence clients based in Winfrith, Dorset. This is a full-time position working on an initial 12 month contract with the possibility of extension.

You will be responsible for a variety of production tasks within the Sonar Transducer section. You will be responsible for the manufacture and testing of a variety of products and assist in the implementation of processes and tooling/test equipment.

Key Accountabilities:

• Assist in production and testing of Piezo Composite products
• Interpret test results and act on those results
• Work with technical drawings, assembly procedures and test specifications
• Support prototyping and first build activity and prepare products for the transfer to production
• Communicate manufacturing failures and process improvement ideas to the Team Leader

Essential knowledge, skills and experience:

• Experience within a Production environment
• Experience working with resins/polymers/polyurethanes would be advantageous
• Previous experience in milling/machining would be an advantage but not essential
• Understanding of principles and need for the production control documentation and traceability
