Job Title: Shift Leader (FMCG/Food Production)

Location: Greater Manchester

Salary: Competitive + Benefits

Working on an exclusive basis with a FMCG manufacturer in the Manchester area. Following strong investment, my client is keen to attract some external talent with fresh ideas and ways of working to achieve and exceed targets.

Job Summary:

  • Responsible for delivery of Production plan for area
  • Report daily performance for each line
  • Produce and deliver OEE improvement
  • Change production and labour allocation where necessary to achieve the production plan
  • Develop and improve systems and procedures for area
  • To assist in the commissioning and implementation of new equipment, plant and processes
  • Identify and deliver cost reduction opportunities
  • Reduce waste (materials, bulk) through team involvement and ensure waste recording is accurate
  • Responsible for Managing day to day costs. i.e. labour, line performance.
  • Responsible for up to 40 people dependants on shift
  • Deputise for the Shift Manager in their absence

The individual;

  • Will have experience in food and drink operations with 2-3 years people management
  • Relevant Experience in improving production performance (i.e. OEE improvement)
  • Ideally IOSH Managing Safely qualified
  • Ideally have experience using SAP
  • Good knowledge of Lean manufacturing techniques
  • Dynamic, energetic, self-driven and positive "can do" outlook
  • Enthusiastic & Tenacious
