Morson International is looking for Production Planner for our client based in Salisbury

To establish and control the overall production plan for the company ensuring that the manufacturing plan is maintained in line with the Sales plan and provide information to the Management Team accordingly. To support Configuration Control and the maintenance of the computerised manufacturing database.

Key responsibilities:

  • Generate and maintain the 'Master Production Schedules' ensuring that these complement the overall Sales plan. Liaise with the production departments to ensure that capacity constraints and batching controls are taken into account in the creation of these plans.
  • Interpret the MRP procedures to enable accurate judgements to be made on MRP order recommendations, assisting all departments in problem solving analysis on the computer system.

  • Ensure incoming materials are managed and expedited through the Goods Inwards Inspection function in accordance with overall production requirements.
  • To liaise between Production Control and all service areas to establish priorities and control of programme changes
  • Chair manufacturing meetings as required to ascertain MPS progress .
  • Provide full support to the Database activities relating to the manufacturing element of the computerised system. Carrying out activities related to the adding and control of item masters and the inventory and ordering parameters within the Item Balance file. In addition the creation of Bills of Materials ensuring that all elements of configuration and costings are accurate.
  • Provide assistance in the development of the computerised manufacturing systems and business processes related to the production and inventory control procedures.
