We are currently recruiting for a Adhesive Mixing Operative for our prestigious defence and space client based in Stevenage. This position involves working in some top projects that have helped revolutionise surveillance from Space.

This is a 6 month contract initially but has the potential to go on longer. The pay rate is £14.50 per hour LTD whilst on day shift but you will most likely be working a double day shift pattern. 6am-2pm one week, 2pm-10pm the following which will entice a 20% uplift, £17.40 per hour LTD.

Role responsibilities

To work from Mixing Requests to produce the required 2 or 3 part flight adhesive
To locally control and maintain the adhesive stock levels
To produce Adhesion Test pieces for proof testing of adhesive mixes
To complete and record information within appendices/routing card/work instruction/IPS after the completion of every operation.
Highlight any anomalies and proactively liaise with the Team Leader/Engineering to update paper work to reflect build sequence and data capture requirements.
Organising workload to suit customers priorities by managing mix output to ensure all critical mixes are available within agreed timescales.
To work in accordance with LDS (local document system) describing methods and procedures. Promote Cleanroom regulations, local area health and safety requirements and 5S policy within local work areas


Experience - essential


Proven similar experience within manufacturing facility
Conversant with H+S and COSHH regulations and practises
Familiar with environmental controls and guidelines

Experience - desirable
Familiar with IOSH
