We are excited to be given the opportunity to assist with resourcing for a Production and Resource Controller for a well respected Client based on the outskirts of Lowestoft.

Role Profile
Reporting to the Production Manager and liaising with the Lead Technicians and Team Leaders throughout the shift, your role will include highlighting and reporting any feedback changes to the production plan and focus with the Lead Technician to see if any improvements can be made during the shift to reduce downtime.

Job Description
Your role will consist of, but will not be restricted to the following:
Ensure a good standard of H&S is adhered to within the department at all times.
Working from plan, create a working document that lists the requirements for the next 48 hours production.
Updating on a daily basis as and when jobs change, this is vital to highlighting upcoming jobs for other departments.
Provide clear communication to the Production Manager and to staff within the department and other departments to ensure they are following the production plan and priority list at all times.
be responsible for the input and reporting of figures and other KPI's. Highlight to the Production Manager and all relevant staff any areas of concern within the previous 24 hours production.
Work closely with the planning department to ensure any changes within the department are planned and reported to relevant departments so they can prepare within the required time-frame so that downtime is kept to a minimum.
Collate Weekly Safety & Inspection Sheets and upload any hazards to the reporting system and re-issue to Lead Tech is necessary.

Planning weekly manpower resource requirements for the department by allocating shifts and recording holidays and sickness within the Plans.
Maintenance and upkeep of the weekly plan templates.
In conjunction with the Team Leaders/Leading Techs, update the manpower plan and labour requirements by recording sickness, calling designated standbys and cancelling labour where necessary.
Work alongside the Production Manager to ensure labour is signed off and accounted for at all times (This includes any extra resource such as rework, overtime etc if required)

Attend the morning production meeting to discuss production and manpower and highlight any areas of concern with forthcoming production jobs.
Collate holiday requests for approval by Team Leaders and updating holiday planner schedules and then passing paperwork to payroll for the timely completing of T&A records.
Undertake factory tours for new starters as and when required.
Provide training documentation to HR for upload and electronic storage.
Carry out visual H&S and PPE audits to ensure compliance with the department.
Complete tasks efficiently in accordance with relevant work instructions.
Complete administration duties and other reasonable requests by management when required.


Person Specification
You must be able to work on your own initiative and have the ability to achieve objectives and take accountability for work/actions undertaken.
You will be able to work under pressure with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Be confident in working as part of a team

Proficient in Microsoft word and excel programs and be educated to grade C or above in Maths and English.

Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.00pm
Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm
