Product Safety Engineer (x2)
Location: Barrow
Duration: 6 months
Rate: £60/hr LTD
Two Product Safety Engineers are required to assist with the compilation of the Ordnance, Munitions and Explosives / Deploy Strategic Munitions Hazard Risk Assessments and Fault Trees.
Proven Ability / Key Skills
- Proven ability with hazard log management and safety management systems
- Fault Tree reliability workbench skills
- Able to perform deterministic risk analysis
- Safety case authoring skills
- Knowledge of:
- Safety Management Systems (SMS)
- Producing Functional Safety justifications
- Deriving Safety Function Requirements (SFRs)
- Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)
- Event Tree Analysis (ETA)
- Accident Sequence Modelling (ASM)
- Ability in using safety standards and guidance: E.g. IEC61508, DO178, DEF-STAN-00-56, ARP-4761
- Has worked in either Maritime, weapons, defence, military standards or safety engineering industries
Additional
Due to the sensitive nature of the product all applicants must have worked within the Defence / Military industry within the last 12 months or be capable of obtaining Security Clearance (SC level minimum).
