Procurement Contract Manager (12-18 months) Based Northwich, Cheshire

Ta have a significant number of new investment projects coming up that have resulted in some exciting opportunities to join the Procurement Team to work directly on key strategic investment and sustainability projects across the TCEH group.

The Procurement PM role will work alongside the Engineering Project Manager to ensure effective contract management for the key projects.

The portfolio will include a number of discrete capital projects of significant spend from £12M to £35M This is envisioned as an 12-18 month role.

Your primary tasks will be to prepare tender documents and evaluate tenders in close cooperation with our stakeholders as well as preparing and conducting supplier negotiations and facilitating appropriate negotiation and administration of contracts and claims. The tasks will be both hands on contract management of specific projects as well as establishing good process and procedures to manage, monitor and improve on all aspects of the procurement process for delivering such capital projects from tender documentation preparation, keeping of risk registers to performance monitoring and relationship management.
Responsible for supplier appraisal, supporting development of specifications, tender preparation, tender assessment, negotiation, contract placement, inaugural meetings, variation management, claim management, programme / performance monitoring and payment validation to ensure that procurement targets are met as well as preparing appropriate procurement strategies for the relevant project.

You must be CIPS qualified with experience of contract administration and project procurement specialist.
