Procurement Contract Manager – Fixed Term Contract 12-18 months

Tata Chemicals Europe (TCE) is the UK’s sole producer of sodium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate, as well as the market leading producer of salt. We are also one of Europe’s leading producers of these and other related products.

Our role:

The Procurement Contract Manager will work alongside the Site Asset Managers to ensure effective contract management for all the sustainable capital projects and provide assistance on some of the exciting key capital projects which form part of the Tata Chemicals Europe 5 year strategy.

Key accountabilities include –

  • Providing specialist Procurement advice and service to Asset Managers, focusing on the Business Unit objectives around Safety, Projects and delivering Best Value
  • Preparing tender documents and evaluate tenders in close cooperation with our stakeholders as well as preparing and conducting supplier negotiations and facilitating appropriate negotiation and administration of contracts and claims.

  • Hands on contract management of specific projects as well as establishing robust processes and procedures to manage, monitor and improve on all aspects of the procurement process for delivering capital projects 

As well as the above, the ideal candidate would have experience of procuring the installation/overhaul of heavy industrial equipment such as process towers; motors; compressors; storage or process tanks and boilers.

Even better if you have experience of procuring from low cost countries.
