We have an opportunity for 2 Process Engineer's to be based at Risley, Warrington for a 12 Month contract

Job Role

The Process engineer role requires design knowledge of general wet process systems, chemical preparation, gaseous exchanges and stored solids.
They will need a drive to deliver and be able to specify appropriate design requirements for both current and potential developments at the appropriate level of detail for preliminary and detail design phases.

Technical Skills

This plant is essentially a laboratory and testing environment and it would be beneficial to demonstrate familiarity with such plants preferably within the nuclear industry.

Be able to demonstrate:
Knowledge and experience in delivery of design projects for construction
Knowledge and understanding of aspects of the following:
Gas Delivery Systems,
Reagent Delivery Systems,
DSEAR Assessment,
Nuclear Analytical Lab Design
Flowsheets, PFDs, EFDs, S&IDDs, Instrument Process Data Sheets, Process Data Sheets

Behaviour Skills

This role requires a strong and successful interface with the current SL Concept Design Integrated Team and the lead must work closely throughout the phases in harmony with all parties to ensure present and future stake holder satisfaction. This will entail understanding and appreciating design decisions by others to date, challenging if appropriate and then estimation of determined technical decision and solutions.

Timeline and Duration

The Preliminary/Detail Design Phase will last approximately 2.5 years.

Essential Experience

A minimum of 2 years post-graduate industrial/practical experience preferably within the nuclear industry. Transferrable industries such as the oil and gas processing/refining sector or water treatment sector will also be considered.
Degree qualified within an appropriate engineering subject.
Experience of project delivery/implementation/execution and subsequent construction.
Familiarity with and application of current standards within their own discipline and an appreciation of multi-design interactions and interfaces.
Familiarity with modern CAE packages and interfaces for process plant design.
Evidence of working as part of a multi-discipline team.
Confidence and ability to work within supervised roles to meet defined targets.

Capable of achieving 'SC' clearance status as soon as practical.

Good working knowledge of MS Office products.
