Accountable for pilot and commercial scale process development and the manufacture of pivotal registration batches. Lead the development of engineering solutions for process improvement in agreed areas

Key responsibilities and accountability's:

Manage performance and personal development of assigned team through appropriate methods (Personal development plan, goal setting, monthly meetings, coaching, mentoring and performance reviews etc.)
Maintain the Formulation Development schedule, manage project assignment and workload for the team and review this on a regular basis as projects move through phases
Ensure staff adherence to all EHS policies
Ensure that quality standards are maintained by team member through guidance and review of procedures and practices within the FD team
Be accountable for Process development, Registration stability and scale up activities leading to Process Validation
Compile/review/approve study protocols and reports
Lead the quality risk management activities
Provide leadership in process engineering and site process improvement activities
To assist the production department with investigations matters and provide advice on process related problems as required.
To carry out any other duties and assignments as requested by Line Manager

Scientific background with relevant pharmaceutical/chemistry/biotechnology (or BSc equivalent education)
Experience from similar positions in the industry
Flexible, structured and goal orientated team player
Management skills
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Able to communicate effectively with people at all levels within the Company
